The location was convenient and the staff were friendly and eager to help, yet the accommodations felt dated and the breakfast left much to be desired. I had a pretty rough stay at Hotel Vesuvio. While the staff was friendly and the location was decent for walking around San Jose, the noise levels and room conditions were major downsides. Honestly, sleeping was a challenge because of the thin walls and the constant sounds from the hallway and outside. Breakfast was okay, but I expected more options. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're really in a pinch.
